Big data describes data sets so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are inadequate for analysis. Challenges for business include capturing that data, curating it, searching, sharing, storage, transfer, visualization, querying and information privacy. But it’s not the amount of data that’s important. It’s how organizations analyze the data for insights that lead to better decisions and strategic business moves that matters.

VentureBeat’s Growth Beat conference focused on finding the value in big data and how companies can use tools to sift through and create value for themselves and their end users.
